This study presents data reduction techniques developed for generating
images of radio sources from snapshot VLBI observations with poor u-v
coverage. The data reduction procedures are described in detail. The
reliability of the radio source structures is discussed, with reference
to 3C48, observed at 50 cm with a global array in a snapshot mode.
