Taking account of the selection effect in the line identification, under the cosmological redshift hypothesis, the authors calculate the redshift-distribution functions of quasi-stellar objects (QSOs) selected with the slitless technique, using three kinds of evolution functions for QSOs, i.e. the Schmidt-Green function, the Mathez function and the Heisler-Ostriker functions, and compare them with the observed distribution. The comparison shows that with regards to both the global behavior and the detailed properties, the predictions agree well with observations.
