In the general relativistic Euler's equation for a purely rotating barotropic flow around a compact object, the surfaces of constant angular momentum and constant general velocity coincide. These surfaces are known as von Zeipel surfaces. Here, a catalog is presented of the behavior of the von Zeipel surfaces both inside and outside the horizon. It is shown that von Zeipel surfaces can have cylindrical as well as toroidal topologies.
