Radial velocities and electron densities have been measured at many positions over the peculiar bipolar nebula M2-9, and high velocity (equal to or greater than 200 km/s) wings have been detected on H-alpha profiles. The velocity features over the core are interpreted as an expanding circumstellar shell driven by a stellar wind. The nebular lobes may define a direction of flow.
