Meteoric-particle-impact data obtained with the Elektron-1 and Elektron-3 satellites during 1964 are reanalyzed in an attempt to characterize the earth dust envelope. The data are represented graphically and discussed in detail, with reference to other published observations. It is found that the meteoric matter is distributed in the form of individual particle concentrations in orbits of varying stability and at definite altitudes. The need for further observations is indicated.
