Generating-function and linear-stability-analysis methods based on Prigogine's nonequilibrium thermodynamic theory are used to investigate the stability of the complete cycle in hydrogen combustion inside stars. Consideration is given to the complete cycle of hydrogen combustion allowing for the effect of diffusion, as well as the complete cycle in hydrogen combustion with both convection and diffusion.
