The nonresonant direct radiative capture (DRC) cross sections of 11 B (n,γ) and 12 C (n,γ) at stellar energies are deduced by means of the asymptotic normalization coefficient (ANC) method. The ANC factors were extracted from the peripheral transfer reactions of 11 B (d,p) and 12 C (d,p) . The deduced DRC cross sections of 12 C (n,γ) are in good agreement with experimental results of direct measurement. The DRC cross sections of 11 B (n,γ) at low energies are obtained for the first time.
