Evaporation and condensation played important roles in the high temperature processing of nebular material that led to CAIs and chondrules. We review recent progress in modeling and laboratory simulation of volatility fractionation under nebular conditions and their application to the bulk chemical and isotopic properties of natural CAIs, chondrules and micrometeorites.
