I present a brief review of VLBA observations of water masers toward low-mass protostars, with which it is possible to probe the environments of young stellar objects and forming stars within only a few A.U. of the protostar, its accretion disk, and therefore the base of outflowing material. These kinds of observations have the potential to trace jets and/or disk winds from these forming stars.
