UBV photometry of the asteroids 16 Psyche and 22 Kalliope was carried out in May-September 1979. Detailed phase dependence of brightness and color were obtained, including the region of the opposition effect down to alpha(min) = 1.0 deg for Psyche and 0.4 deg for Kalliope. The value of the rotation period of Psyche over the interval of 1974-1979 was determined and refined, P = 4h11m45.4s + or - 0.1s, which proved to be 6.5m less than the value determined earlier. On the basis of observational data for 1978 and 1979 it was shown that Psyche rotates about the shortest axis. The ratio of axes of the asteroid's figure, approximated by a triaxial ellipsoid, is 1.7:1.3:1. The results of the UBV photometry of these asteroids are compared qualitatively with the analogous data for previous oppositions.
