Observations of the Crab plerion by the VERITAS Observatory have been performed in 2006 and January 2007 using 2 telescope and 3 telescope stereo observations. Initial analysis reveals substantial improvement in VERITAS sensitivity and angular resolution compared to the Whipple 10-m telescope. The high red-shift (z=0.128) blazar 1ES 1218 is detected by VERITAS at a rate of 0.3+/-0.05 γ/minute. VERITAS also has detected the microquasar LSI 61+303 at a mean rate of 0.126 γ/minute, and has detected a 26.5 day orbital modulation of its γ-ray emission.
