Preliminary results of deceleration calculations for matter infalling
onto a strongly magnetized neutron star are given. The validity of both
models of thermalization are given. It was found that for accretion
rates approximately greater than 100,000 gr.cm(-2)sec(-1), stationary,
collisionless shock solution do not exist.
