The 3/2-resonance case is studied by results of numerical integration of 34 real Hilda-type orbits and of some fictitious examples. In analogy to the regular case of asteroid motion, it is possible to characterize these orbits by three numerical parameters. The ways of deriving a proper inclination and a proper eccentricity are described. The orbits show libration of a special angular argument, and the amplitude caused by the typical period of libration in this argument corresponds to the third characteristic parameter. Values of the three parameters appear in a table. Two pairs of real orbits have nearly the same values in all three parameters. Rigorous computations of the effects by Jupiter and Saturn cover several 10,000 yr and indicate that the three characteristic parameters are nearly independent of time during long intervals.
