Spectra of twenty-four Wolf-Rayet star candidates in M 33 show that one object is a supernova remnant, four are early nitrogen sequence Wolf-Rayet stars and nineteen are early carbon sequence Wolf-Rayet stars. Except for the fact that these stars are associated with spiral arms the carbon sequence stars show no pronounced affinity for associations while three of the four nitrogen sequence stars are projected against associations previously delineated by Humphreys and Sandage (1980).
