We investigate the stellar population parameters of high redshift galaxies satisfying Lyman break color selection criteria (i.e. Lyman break galaxies: LBGs).
We construct model galaxy catalog from the semi analytic model of galaxy formation, and selected U-, B-, V-drop Lyman break galaxies using appropriate color criteria.
The broad band photometric spectral energy distributions (SEDs) of these model galaxies are used to find the best-fit galaxy template derived from simple stellar population synthesis model through standard SED-fitting method.
We compare the statistical properties of Lyman break galaxies' stellar populations, such as stellar mass, star formation rate, and stellar population age, from the semi-analytic model LBGs and from the best-fit stellar population synthesis model galaxy templates.
We find the following trends: First, the minimization method comparing galaxy's photometric SEDs with simple stellar population synthesis model galaxy templates reproduce the input statistical distribution of galaxies' stellar mass most robustly among various stellar population parameters.
Second, differences between the distribution of input stellar population parameters from semi-analytic model and the distribution from the best-fit galaxy templates of simple stellar population synthesis model increase for fainter galaxies.
