The soft X-ray background (SXRB) has long been modeled with two galactic components, a nearby 10^6 K plasma called the Local Hot Bubble (LHB) and a patchy and hot ( 10^6.4 K) Galactic Halo. Extragalactic sources also make a small contribution at low energies. Recently X-ray astronomers have come to think that these contributors are supplemented by solar wind charge exchange (SWCX) from the heliosphere. The large throughput ( 40000 cm^2 arcrmin^2) and good spectral resolution ( 60 eV at 250 eV) available with the XIS instrument on Suzaku gives us a new tool for investigating the sources of the SXRB. We present preliminary spectral analysis ( 0.3-1.5 keV) of two high galactic-latitude fields observed with Suzaku's XIS instrument. Target A (l=68.4, b=+44.4) is at a location on the sky where more than 70% of the total ¼ keV flux is identified as Galactic Halo emission while the flux at target B (l=272.0, b=-59.0) is nearly 80% LHB and SWCX emission. Both observations also present an opportunity for studying solar-related foreground emission since both observations encompass quiet and active periods of solar activity.
