Cosmic rays can be continuously observed in this thermoelectrically
cooled diffusion cloud chamber. Greater track density is observed using
radioactive sources. Ice water is used to cool the Peltier device (about
1 kg of ice per hour). Good tracks are observed within half an hour
after the cloud chamber is turned on.
