The RATAN-600 was used to perform a deep survey of faint radio sources at a wavelength of 7.6 cm during March to June 1980. A total noise temperature for the telescope-radiometer system of 38 K was obtained by using parametric amplifiers cooled to 15 K, reducing the antenna noise temperature through feed optimization and the use of screens, and using a radiometer with minimum input losses. The reception frequency band was 0.5 GHz.
