In dense clouds methanol and formaldehyde are most likely formed via
grain surface reactions (Watanabe et al. 2004). In the present
laboratory work hydrogenation experiments of CO ices are presented for
interstellar conditions and accurate parameters describing the reaction
dynamics are presented in Fuchs et al. (2007) submitted.
