We propose to make two XMM-Newton medium-deep exposures on AKARI (Astro-F) NEP Deep Field, which is a subject of a key legacy survey with the infrared satellite AKARI. Its continuous 2-24 micron photometry in 9 bands, filling the Spitzer s gap at the 15 micron band, makes it an unique and powerful tool for infrared discrimination of AGNs, normal, and star-forming galaxies. We intend to use XMM-Newton to characterize the IR Spectral Energy Distribution (SED) of the AGNs component and its ratio with X-ray unabsorbed luminosity. We further intend to search for Compton-thick AGNs using the IR SED and X-ray upper limits.
