Because of high UV extinction in the LMC, the study of the diffuse interstellar features in the spectra of the reddened members of the LMC and their correlation with UV extinction parameters could yield important information on the origin of the unidentified diffuse features. This paper reports measurements of the central depths of the 4430 A band of a small sample of reddened LMC members and their far UV extinction. No link is indicated between far UV extinction and the strength of the 4430 A band.
