A method based on the use of the concepts of luminosity distance and angular diameter distance is developed for determining indicative values of SN-galaxy center distances. A sample of 25 type I SNs is treated by two procedures: that of Barbon et al. (1975) and that proposed here. Good agreement is obtained, especially in regard to SN surface density. In addition, the obscuration of SNs by their own galaxies is examined on the basis of Nottale's (1980) correction.
