For the Λ Boo stars we show that the binarity does not induce any spurious effect on color indices either on those of the Geneva photometric system or on those of the UV-TD1 photometry. The calibration of the Geneva photometry in terms of [M/H] gives useful information on metal content which can be misinterpreted through spectral analysis in the case of blended spectra of similar stars with high v sin i.
