The technique of High-Speed Fourier Transform photometry has been used to observe the flickering activity on AE Aqr up to the frequency limit imposed by photon shot noise. The flicker spectrum exhibits an inverse relation between amplitude and frequency to the observable limit of 0.5 Hz. Some conclusions are drawn from this about the nature of the mechanism responsible for the flickering. The presence of appreciable amounts of flickering above 0.1 Hz places a limit on the opacity of the emitting region.
