The GG-2M spectrometer is described which was designed for the study of gamma rays with energies exceeding 100 MeV on the Cosmos-856 and Cosmos-914 satellites. Results of calibration and an analysis of the physical characteristics of the device are presented. The stages of data processing are described which make it possible to isolate the primary gamma quanta, and the integral gamma spectrum for the near-equatorial galactic region is presented.
