One of the most powerful infrared sources known, located in the Kleinmann-Low Nebula behind the Orion Nebula, and discovered by Eric Becklin and Gerry Neugebauer in 1967. Its position is RA 05 h 35.2 m, dec. -05° 22'. It is thought to be a very young and massive B star embedded in a dense expanding dust envelope which absorbs the star's visible light and re-emits it in the infrared....
