Visual observations of Comet P/Giacobini-Zinner obtained by an organized group of German amateur astronomers during the period June 24 - October 22, 1985 (perihelion on September 5, 1985 at about 70 million km from earth) are reported. The data are presented in tables, graphs, and sample images and characterized. Consideration is given to the brightness evolution, coma and tail morphology, and comparisons of the present observations with those of other observers and with the perihelion passage of 1972.
