Strömgren photometry of the extreme hydrogen-deficient stars (helium stars) LS IV-1°2 and BD +1°4381 is presented. Variability in LS IV-1°2 is reported for the first time. Its light is variable by 0.08 mag on a time-scale of 11 days. The new observations of BD +1°4381 suggest that a longer period of 24 days is to be preferred to those estimated previously.
