Velocities and abundances derived from high-resolution, digital spectra have been determined for the four brightest giant stars in the old open cluster NGC 2420. The mean cluster velocity is +73 km s-1 and the overall iron abundance is found to be [Fe/H] = -0.57 relative to the Hyades giant γ Tau. All four giants are cluster members and two of the stars are confirmed to be barium stars. One of the stars is one of the most s-process and carbon-enriched barium stars yet studied. Both barium stars are binaries and show similar s-process abundance distributions; however, one star shows four times the overall s-process enhancement relative to the other.
