French-Soviet ultraviolet astronomy satellite, launched March 1983.
Carried an 80 cm telescope which operated in the range 150-350 nm.
Placed in a highly elliptical orbit (1950×201 000 km) which
limited observations to 5-6 hours per day. Observed many sources,
including supernova 1987A. Ceased operations 1989....
