Saturn: Observations

Visual, photographic and CCD observations of Saturn collected during the 1998-1999 apparition of the planet by the UAI Planetary Section are presented. Saturn showed poor atmospheric activity, our data generally confirming known latitude and intensity trends. A few remarkable anomalies were detected, such as the unusual intensity of ring B out, which should be closely monitored in the apparitions to come.
