Philospher, born in Elea, Lucania (now southern Italy), formulated Zeno's Paradoxes, identifying inconsistencies in the linguistic formulation of the mathematical theory of infinitesimals. Diogenes Laertius reports that Zeno proposed a universe consisting of several worlds, composed of `warm' and `cold', `dry' and `wet' but no void or empty space....
