Churchman, born in Fawsley, Northamptonshire, became Warden of Wadham
College, Oxford, and Master of Trinity College, Cambridge. Founded the
Royal Society from a discussion group of scientists at Wadham. In 1638
Wilkins wrote a book describing the Moon as a habitable planet and
predicting that, one day, space travel to the Moon would be possible....
