Rocket scientist, writer, born in Berlin, Germany. Inspired by reading a
work by the space pioneer, HERMANN OBERTH, Ley founded the German
Society for Space Travel (1927), enrolled WERNHER VON BRAUN, and helped
develop the liquid-fuel rocket. Fled to the USA, and became a science
writer, including science fiction and film scripts....
