Stellar occultation is the only tool for exploring the small end of the Kuiper Belt size distribution and the outer region of the solar system. The principle is to search for dips in stellar flux du to transits of occulting object. Occultation by a KBO is a very brief phenomenon involving Fresnel diffraction, that is why the choice of the target stars is critical. Observation of well chosen stars with small angular diameter allows one to record the diffracting shadow of hundred-metre size objects.
Last results of the Ultracam campaign with large telescope are presented.
It will be explained how a diffracting profile allows to estimate the distance of the occulting object with few hypothesis. The events detected in various campaign are reanalysed for a better understanding of the Kuiper Belt Structure.
