An experiment is described in which a meteor shower was photographed simultaneously by two observers at the ends of 7.9-km baseline. Position over the earth for the beginning and end of the illuminated path, altitude of beginning and end of the path, and length of the path were calculated from the parallax of identical traces on the two photographs. Uncertainty in the location of beginning of a trace and its end, resulting from different film properties, gave rise to an estimated 10% error. An improved method involving three observers with longer baselines is sketched.
