The climatic indices of soil biological degradation and salinization have been obtained from monthly and annual values of thermopluviometry and evapotranspiration (ETP) from 45 climatological stations in the province of Valencia (Spain). These indices were calculated from the application of the F.A.O. formulae (F.A.O., P.N.U.M.A., U.N.E.S.C.O., 1980) which were modified depending on the particular conditions of the area. The monthly and annual variations of these indices were extrapolated and graphs for the most representative climatological stations of the province were constructed. Using the annual values of each index, isolines maps were made. These maps show provincial distributions at the same time as differentiating between areas with different values of the indices.
