Radial velocity measures of the 18-day Cepheid YZ Carinae show it to
belong to a binary system with an orbital period of about 850 days.
Tentative orbital parameters are derived and they suggest an orbit of
low eccentricity with no interaction between the components. The
Cepheid's companion is probably of spectral type A0 V.
