We propose to observe WR21a (O3If*/WN6). This star has an O3If* spectrum exhibiting a few Wolf-Rayet features. It could be single star, thus very extreme, or a binary system with a WN6 companion or with another O star. Its X-ray brightness is comparable to the one of WR140(a WR+O colliding wind binary) and of WR25 (a suspected one). A hard component is present in the X-ray spectrum but its origin is not established yet. It could well be either a non-thermal component or a colliding wind interaction. The choice between the two possibilities can be made on the basis of XMM spectroscopy (RGS). Therefore, we propose to study the X-ray emission of this rare and extreme object in order to determine its nature.
