We propose to obtain X-ray fluxes and spectra of 8 new magnetic CVs identified during the first 2 yrs of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey. The Polars in this group represent the lowest end of mass transfer in magnetic systems. We will exploit the high sensitivity and large energy coverage of XMM to delineate the shock vs blob heating in these low accretion regimes as compared to the high accretion rate systems that have previously been found in X-ray surveys. Our findings from SDSS indicate these low accretion systems may represent a large contribution to the magnetic CV population. Thus, determining their accretion characteristics provides an important test of accretion scenarios at high magnetic fields.
