Scientific paper

The authors observed with ROSAT a sample of old open clusters. They present the results on M67, NGC 752 and NGC 188, and compare their X-ray properties. Both in M67 and in NGC 752 they detect close, circularized binaries, that emit X-rays due to chromospheric activity. They also detect one blue straggler in each cluster, and in M67 also a magnetic cataclysmic variable and a single, hot white dwarf. Surprisingly, they also detect some long-period, eccentric binaries.
