Spatial fluctuations in the Uhuru X-ray background are used to limit the
X-ray source counts at high galactic latitude. Differential counts
represented by a power law with an index of approximately -2.5 are found
to fit these data adequately. Previous count estimates are reviewed, and
it is suggested that these have been overestimated.
