An imaging X-ray telescope of type Wolter I has been developed for
studies of extended cosmic X-ray sources on board Skylark/Black Brant
rockets and Spacelab. This telescope is characterized by an effective
area of 32 sq cm at 1 keV and low X-ray scattering from the surface.
Optical tests show that the on-axis resolution is better than 5 arc sec.
