ROSAT All Sky Survey (RASS) fluxes and upper limits have been obtained for a new, complete sample of 408-MHz-selected quasars. Thirty percent were detected above the RASS threshold, preferentially those with low redshifts (z < 1), bright radio cores and optical emission. This might imply the presence of anisotropic X-ray and optical continuum components. In addition, the authors note the paucity of compact, steep-spectrum Molonglo Quasar Sample (MQS) quasars detected on the RASS and also comment on "optically-quiet" MQS quasars which are suggested to form an inhomogeneous group.
