The ROSAT observatory with its high spatial resolution X-ray telescope is an ideal instrument for the study of clusters of galaxies. In the first part of the mission an all sky X-ray survey was conducted with ROSAT. First results of observations of Virgo, Perseus, and some other clusters of galaxies from the all sky survey, are presented. These data illustrate the capabilities of the ROSAT observatory for studies of the morphological structure and physical properties of galaxy clusters.
