An AGN subsample extracted from an Eistein extended medium sensitivity
survey sample is used to study AGN number density-limiting flux for
fluxes from 5 x 10 exp -14 to 1 x 10 exp -11 erg/sq cm/s in an 0.3-3.5
energy band. It is estimated that 13.5 percent of X-ray background comes
from AGN which are are brighter than 5 x 10 exp -14 erg/sq cm/s.
