We present results of a Monte Carlo analysis of the X-ray colours of
sources in our very deep XMM-Newton imaging. Using detailed simulations,
we test published models of the distribution of absorbing column
densities against the observed data. The 2D-KS test finds that model B
of [2] and the β = 8 model of [1] are preferred.
