Monte Carlo simulations of gamma-ray transport in several models of the SN 1987A debris are conducted to attempt to fit the gamma-ray line fluxes and Ginga X-ray fluxes from the SN 1987A. The bolometric flux, 16-28 keV Ginga flux, and gamma line light curves are compared with observational data. The contribution of each radial mass segment in the debris to the total gamma-line flux is calculated. Also, calculations of the fraction of the decay energy that emerge as X-ray, gamma line, or bolometric flux and the spatial distribution of the energy deposited by Compton scattering and photoelectric absorption are presented. It is found that all of the models agree with the observed light curves of gamma-ray lines, but fail to explain high fluxes in the Ginga band at late times. The results suggest that the Ginga observations may include an external source contribution.
