As an outgrowth of the International Year of Astronomy, the Astronomical Society of the Pacific developed a pilot workshop focusing on Galileo's iconic observations in a hands-on approach to teaching the process of science, adding additional resources and techniques to promote more effective science teaching in the classroom. The presenters will share lessons learned from the pilot workshops and plans to take the concept forward in flexible and adaptive ways.
