Scientific paper
A radial deformation of the Reissner-Nordström metric which leads to the appearance of charged, traversable wormholes is investigated. It is shown that the resulting wormholes are not covered by event horizons and physical signals can travel between the two parallel universes either way across the wormhole. The status of energy conditions and the classification of geodesics are also discussed in details.
